Part number B -- Xtech2020 review (talk) 03:06, 3 March 2021 (CET)

  • In parts list online it says "CAST IRON", in pdf it says nothing
  • Cast iron can not be used, because in small scale this technology is not used.

Re: Part number B -- Inddigital (talk) 01:46, 7 March 2021 (CET)

  • Drawings have been updated
  • It is correct, cast iron is not practical today, it was placed, following the original design, the observation will be taken into account for an improved version of the equipment (a fork).

Part number 3.3 -- Xtech2020 review (talk) 03:10, 3 March 2021 (CET)

What is the thickness of this part?

Re: Part number 3.3 -- Inddigital (talk) 01:02, 4 March 2021 (CET)

Hi xtech, your comment has been resolved, please remove the Action Required check mark.

Part number B -- Xtech2020 review (talk) 03:16, 3 March 2021 (CET)

it is recommended to indicate DIN references for fasteners parts

Re: Part number B -- Inddigital (talk) 01:47, 7 March 2021 (CET)

I will try to keep it as it is, since they are size references under American standard with DIN and ISO equivalents easily found.

-- Xtech2020 review (talk) 03:20, 3 March 2021 (CET)

It is suggested to include some theoretical estimates of equipment capacity and efficiency.

Re: -- Inddigital (talk) 00:34, 4 March 2021 (CET)

you can get a complete theoretical analysis at: https://dspace.mit.edu/handle/1721.1/27493

Among others, some characteristic curves of the equipment are shown, like this one:

Part number B -- Xtech2020 review (talk) 19:48, 3 March 2021 (CET)

In some items it says cap machine, I think it is a mistake.

Part number B -- Xtech2020 review (talk) 19:50, 3 March 2021 (CET)

the Sheet and Qty columns must be updated

Part number 5 -- Xtech2020 review (talk) 23:19, 3 March 2021 (CET)

For sliding fit moving parts, it is highly recommended to place dimensional tolerances on the dimensions where applicable. In the absence of this, a general value could be specified for these dimensions

Re: Part number 5 -- Inddigital (talk) 01:09, 4 March 2021 (CET)

Thanks for your suggestion, a new thread has been opened in general comments and technical notes, to highlight this point.

-- Xtech2020 review (talk) 23:44, 3 March 2021 (CET)

Most of the parts are missing material specification

Re: -- Inddigital (talk) 01:31, 7 March 2021 (CET)

Thank you for your comment, this issue has been resolved.

Part number 7.2 -- Xtech2020 review (talk) 23:55, 3 March 2021 (CET)

this piece does not appear to correspond to any of the original design, it should be removed.

Re: Part number 7.2 -- Inddigital (talk) 03:26, 4 March 2021 (CET)

Yes, the part must exist for internal sliding of the impeller. Drawings have been updated

-- Inddigital (talk) 01:06, 4 March 2021 (CET)

In cases of sliding parts, use 0.2 mm as tolerance for diametrical dimensions. This item has been included in technical notes.

Part number 4 -- Xtech2020 review (talk) 18:32, 6 March 2021 (CET)

  • What material?
  • How it is manufactured?

Re: Part number 4 -- Inddigital (talk) 01:37, 7 March 2021 (CET)

As explained in technical notes, the manufacturing process can be by fiberglass forming or polyester resin casting. Other materials such as epoxy resins and other processes such as CNC machining and 3D printing are not ruled out.

  • The blades views are missing
  • How is it manufactured?

Re: Part number 5 -- Inddigital (talk) 01:41, 7 March 2021 (CET)

The profile view for the blades has been slightly modified to allow for better detailing.

All issues have either been resolved or properly channeled. OK, FINISHED.

Part number 15 -- Thehunter (talk) 12:03, 11 March 2021 (CET)

the specifications for the generator depend on whether it is intended for grid feeding, if so 50 or 60 Hz? Or whether it is intended to charge batteries, if so twelve or 24 V. This means that they must be defined project-specifically

-- Thehunter (talk) 12:06, 11 March 2021 (CET)

The speeds of the generator and turbine must match. The speed of the turbine depends on the amount of water and the head, a calculation for the specific application should be made. Alternatively, the turbine can be put into operation first, then speed measurements are taken and the power transmission and generator are designed afterwards.

-- Thehunter (talk) 12:18, 11 March 2021 (CET)

There are a number of castings in this project. As castings are difficult to produce in smaller workshops, consideration should be given to replacing them with welded constructions and/or standard parts. Proposal for an improved version.

Part number 2 -- Thehunter (talk) 12:22, 11 March 2021 (CET)

this part can be made by welding together two flanges and a ring

Part number 1 -- Thehunter (talk) 12:26, 11 March 2021 (CET)

this part can be made by welding together two flanges and a welded cone

Part number 3.3 -- Thehunter (talk) 12:29, 11 March 2021 (CET)

What is the easiest way to bend 8 mm steel evenly round?

Part number 3.5 -- Thehunter (talk) 12:33, 11 March 2021 (CET)

Does the drawing need to indicate the distance of the center point from the baseline?

Part number B -- Thehunter (talk) 12:37, 11 March 2021 (CET)

The parts list should generally be created in landscape format, otherwise it is not easy to read online

Part number C -- Thehunter (talk) 12:38, 11 March 2021 (CET)
