The structure must have support legs, to resist the load and momentum of the water, and minimize vibrations that may affect the motor.

For greater energy efficiency it is recommended that the water flow impacts the buckets in a horizontal direction (pos 4.2), i.e. normal to their surface.

Protect the motor with an enclosure that avoids contact with water splashes or other elements such as dust.
